Joe Frazier was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on January 12, 1944. He was one of many boxers that were considered great in the 1960s an 70s. Most people mite know him by the nickname "Smoken Joe", or u mite have heard of him when he fought Muhammed Ali on March 8, 1971 which was considered one of the greatest fights in boxing history. As he was an amatuer he won a gold medal in the 1964 summer olypics in Toyko. After he won his gold medal he turned porfessional in 1965, and that same year he fought Woody Goss an won by knockout. Following that win he won 3 more fights that year all of them by knockouts an also not even goin passed the first round. In 1966 his career in boxin was goin gud. This year he had to get two more trainers after the death of his career starting trainer in 1965, which goes by the name of Yancy "Yank" Durham.
